Event overview

Building on the inaugural 2025 Symposium, which convened more than 75 organisations and established the Lab’s five stakeholder groups, this year’s event moves from diagnosis to action.

The second annual Symposium of the Blended Finance Lab brings together leading practitioners, policymakers, and researchers from across the blended finance ecosystem to take stock of progress, deepen collaboration, and advance the Lab’s work programme.

Registration

This is a closed event for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers working and interested in blended finance and private capital mobilisation. If you are able to attend in person and represent one of these groups, please express your interest in attending here.

Draft agenda

Morning sessions will offer both foundational and advanced perspectives on blended finance alongside an ecosystem mapping exercise in which representatives from stakeholder groups (including asset owners, asset managers and banks, DFI and MDBs, governments, NGOs and foundations) will present how their organisations engage with and contribute to the field.

Afternoon sessions will provide updates on the Lab’s workstreams, drawing on insights from workstream leads and external experts. The sessions will explore how to strengthen the evidence base on investment performance in EMDEs, address challenges to securing credit ratings for blended finance, and better align blended finance funds and investments with asset owners’ investment mandates, with practical insights drawn throughout from successful case studies and examples.

The day will conclude with a reception.
