Pierre’s research focuses on monetary policy, financial regulation, and their links with environmental and social sustainability. He is a Visiting Professor in Practice at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, which he joined in 2022. He is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Economic Policies (CEP), where he focuses on the environmental and social effects of monetary policy and financial regulation, and on developing policy options to better integrate environmental and social issues in their implementation. Prior to CEP, he was with the Swiss National Bank in various roles for 10 years. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich, an MSc in Economics from Queen Mary University of London, and an MSc in Statistics and BA in Economics from the University of Neuchatel.
