We at the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx) alongside partner, Energiva Ventures, are delighted to be co-hosting the invitation only roundtable, Advancing Green Growth: Lessons to and from Indian States, as part of London Climate Action Week 2026.

Emerging economies and Indian subnational governments are shaping climate-aligned growth pathways that are low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive while remaining globally competitive. Through sectoral pathways for low carbon development, complemented by whole-of-economy action, different Indian states and emerging economies are presenting their green growth strategy. The challenge to meeting targets is raising the required financial resources, given that governments must operate within the fiscal limits. Climate action hence needs to be supported by mobilising climate-aligned finance- through innovative instruments.

In this context, this roundtable examines the potential for developing sub-national decarbonisation pathways and financing mechanisms that can support green transition. In this session we hope to create an exchange of ideas between developing countries to identify if there are examples that can be replicated across global south.
